Sarah's Restore toolkit is literally transforming my life! I've been a member of Restore for five months and some days I have to pinch myself because I cannot believe how much different I feel. For decades I wanted to be the person who could 'control' and regulate my moods, but I couldn't and it made me feel profoundly shameful. When I discovered Sarah on Instagram and started to understand the reasons why this was happening, I knew I was on the right path to healing.
Restore has helped me with depression and pain. I had tried 6 other brain retraining programs before Restore and hadn't seen much progress. I finally started seeing results with Sarah because she taught me how to fine-tune my practices. Sarah's program is the most in-depth and complete that I have found.
Restore has been a lifeline during the healing process, and doing somatic therapy has been something I look forward to every day. It is the calmest, most grounded part of my day. Before joining the membership, my body wasn’t responding to the neural retraining program I was in. I needed a bridge to signal safety to my nervous system, and now neural retraining is so much easier. Now I use them both, and it’s a game changer. Well worth every penny to feel myself again.
Restore has been my #1, go-to source to help me navigate (and heal from) the challenges of chronic invisible illness that are a direct result of trauma and stress. I cannot even begin to describe how important and life-changing Restore has been for me: it is a clear, calm beacon of hope and trust in a process that sometimes feels overwhelming.
No doubt, you've tried everything. You've tried the therapies and self-help books, doctors, and treatments. You may have even begun to give up on finding true healing and inner peace.
I understand this struggle and want to help.
Combining doctoral work in Spiritual Formation, a certified apprenticeship with a Somatic Practitioner, and certified training in BioSpiritual Focusing and Somatic Processing, I've applied my knowledge, skills and experience to help more than 5,000 people work through their journey toward healing.
I offer an innovative perspective on health and wellness that blends Polyvagal Theory, principles of neuroplasticity, spirituality, and somatic processing.
You get the tools to rewire your nervous system using holistic methods that affirm and transform every part of your person. My goal is to guide you in creating the life you want, by helping you understand how to work with your autonomic nervous system.
This is the only place where you will find a holistic approach to healing that engages the somatic (body), cognitive (mind), and the spiritual (soul) parts of who you are.
• Learn to signal safety to your limbic system via its language of sensation
• Reset your vagus nerve to move your nervous system toward regulation
• Engage gentle movements to regulate your nervous system in its varying states of sympathetic activation, freeze, and dorsal vagal shutdown
• Break up tension patterns to introduce relaxation and regulation to the nervous system
• Engage new ways of thinking about yourself, your body, your relationships and your life
• Practice imaginative visualizations to signal safety to your survival brain, so your body can release stored trauma
• Process grief and anger productively, in small doses that keep you inside your Window of Tolerance
• Tend to shame, bringing the story of your inherent value into your body
• Engage imaginative spiritual practices like breath prayer, Ignatian Prayer, and Lectio Divina that form the heart and rewire the brain.
• Practice self-compassion, and learn to see yourself through the eyes of mercy.
• Essential to your healing is opening to this story of mattering, because you matter.
• Spiritual formation is where we let God teach us the worth of our soul and the goodness of our body. This process then transforms the way we use the tools.
Releasing stored trauma and re-patterning the nervous system helps bring the body back into homeostasis, where it can fight infection, heal the gut, balance hormones, repair at a cellular level and more.
The process of re-patterning the nervous system is an incremental one, requiring focused, consistent practice over time.
So many people have found freedom from anxiety disorders, depression, chronic pain, PTSD, and c-PTSD by rewiring their limbic system, including me!
There is so much hope!

Trauma occurs when the nervous system experiences an event - or events - in one of the following ways:
Too much, too soon, too quickly.
Too little, too late, too slowly.
Trauma happens when a nervous system isn’t sufficiently resourced to cope with an event or set of experiences. The stressors may be present in too high a volume, at too fast a pace, before the nervous system feels equipped to deal with them. Or, support and connection might come too slowly, too late.
The key is: how does your (involuntary) survival brain perceive the event? Does it feel resourced to deal with it? If it feels like it’s lacking control, helpless, and/or under-resourced, traumatization occurs, and the trauma loop ensues, in which stories of scarcity and overwhelm can persist.
Beginning to heal trauma entails cultivating relationships and finding resources that bring your nervous system out of sympathetic overdrive (i.e., “fight or flight”), dorsal vagal shutdown, or freeze; and repatterning it, teaching it flexible, healthy rhythms of activation and deactivation.
