Q: How easy is it to integrate the Restore videos into a busy life? 

A: Most practice videos to help you regulate when you're in fight-or-flight, freeze, or shutdown are 5-15 minutes. 

The daily calendar will help you begin using the practice videos immediately.

As you make your way through the education videos, you'll feel more confident to skillfully integrate somatic practice into your daily life — while you are grocery shopping, waiting in line at the bank, on your lunch break, spending time with loved ones, or watching TV.

Education videos are in the 10-25 minute-range and can be done at your own pace. Each education video stands alone.

 

Q: How do I know what order to do the education and practice videos?

A: I’ll guide you step-by-step with a daily calendar. It will show you where to go in the library, helping you build steady, effective rhythms of rewiring.

The calendar is merely a guide — you can follow it as suggested or adjust the pace to fit your needs.

 

Q: How is Restore different from other programs?

A: Restore is the only stand-alone nervous system resource that integrates body, mind, and heart tools to release stored trauma and rewire the brain.

While most programs are almost entirely educational, five of the folders in the Restore video library are filled with practice videos to help you regulate your nervous system in the moment, when you need help moving through anxiety, depression, pain, fatigue, and other symptoms of chronic dysregulation. 

In fact, you can start using practice videos long before you watch educational videos.

Restore also integrates a live teaching and accompanying Q&A each month, along with other Q&A resources.

  

Q: What kinds of rewiring practices are in the video library?

A: In the library, you’ll find three kinds of practices to help you release stored trauma, rewire your brain, and step into soulful rest:

1. BODY:

  • Learn to signal safety to your limbic system via its language of sensation 
  • Reset the vagus nerve, the emotionally sensitive nerve that helps you feel safe in your body
  • Engage gentle movements to regulate your nervous system in its varying states of fight-or-flight, freeze, or shutdown
  • Interrupt tension patterns, drawing dynamics of safety and calm into the body 

 2. MIND:

  • Engage new ways of thinking about yourself, your body, your relationships, and your life
  • Practice regular, effective visualizations to signal safety to your survival brain, so your body can release stored trauma

3. HEART:

  • Process grief, anger, and other painful emotions in small doses that keep you inside your Window of Tolerance
  • Tend to shame, bringing the story of your inherent value into your body
  • Engage imaginative spiritual practices, like Breath Prayer, Ignatian Prayer, and Lectio Divina to form the soul and rewire the brain
  • Spiritual practices draw us into the healing work God is already doing in our lives and bodies, training our hearts and limbic systems to rest in His love for us

Q: How long before I see changes? What do I have to do to see changes?

A: Many Restore members feel immediate relief as they engage the practice videos!

To change the nervous system for long-term healing, research shows it's important to rewire with focused consistency for at least six months, although I always recommend people rewire for at least a year. There is so much healing possible with this work — often more than we can imagine!

Q: Can I cancel at any time?

A: Yes! Because Restore is a subscription service you don’t have to commit for more than a month, so you can assess if Restore is a good fit for you right now with minimal financial investment.
